Then on Friday a follow up cat scan revealed that a tumor had returned. Whether the tumor is cancer is not is still not entirely clear (it could possibly be a pre-cancerous and nasty growth called teratoma), although my oncologist is pretty convinced that it is in fact cancer.
So, I guess it's time to start documenting my journey, primarily for me, but also for any family or friends that are interested, and, hopefully, to provide insights for others that will face this same battle in the future. So welcome to my Testicular Cancer journey--one that I damn well hope has a happy ending...
Tim--Fellow recurrent TC guy here. I'll be following your progress & keeping you in my prayers. You are going to battle, you will take some lumps, but you will win. My advice is to burn the image of yourself enjoying Halloween, or sitting down at the dinner table on Thanksgiving (whatever the timeline may be for you), with your family, having returned from battle, but victorious. Remember this image whenever things get hard, it will carry you through some rough spots. It's the light at the end of the tunnel, and what you are going to be working very hard to get to. Whatever your image is, I wish you to get there as easily as our Father can carry you. You will do well Tim. Good luck with everything, and feel free to call me if you ever need anything. Lauren has my cell number. Fight's On--Zack Canada
